May 2023 - Time to catch up

Hi there!

I can't believe we are nearly at middle of May already!

This last year has been a rollercoaster for me. I fully expected to be spending the year travelling as a full-time digital nomad. However, my parents needed me and I set aside my blogging and adventures to care for them.

I know I said in my last newsletter that I was catching up on writing, but sadly my stepfather died and I had to put my family first.

After a few turbulent months, I am back to writing and Monday 15th will see the start of catching up on my travels over the last year.

For the rest of May, I will be concentrating on Europe: Italy, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria and Hungary.

For June, I will be writing about Sri Lanka. Expect posts on places to visit, itineraries, packing lists, food suggestion and even some recipes.

July will be more Europe, UK and Africa - Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Madagascar.

Each region has left me with unforgettable experiences (and plenty of notes for new blog posts!). As September begins, I’ve hopped over to Sri Lanka to do some...

Hi there! Belated Happy New Year! I realise that it has been quite a while since you last heard from me. 2022 was a weird year for me. It started out full of promise with lots of exciting travel planned and I was ready to become a full-time digital nomad. However circumstances changed and I spent most of the year in the Borders of Scotland caring for my parents. My head was so full of ensuring my parents were okay that my creativity and writing nosedived and I hardly wrote any posts during...
