Hey there, Reader
This week I’ve been thinking a lot about slower ways of travelling — the kind that leave you feeling restored rather than exhausted.
One of the experiences that has stayed with me most over the years has been discovering Ayurveda in India and Sri Lanka.
It’s far more than spa treatments and herbal oils; it’s a centuries-old approach to wellbeing that encourages you to slow down, reconnect, and travel more mindfully.
As someone who is usually juggling blog posts, photography, editing, and travel planning, I sometimes forget how important it is to properly pause. Ayurveda reminded me of that.
Featured Article of the Week
This week’s featured read is all about a Longevity Ayurveda retreat I took with Rina Golan, in the beautiful grounds of West Lexham in Norfolk.
It covers what an Ayruvedic retreat is, what to expect, and why it can completely change the way you think about wellness travel.
Whether you’re curious about Ayurvedic retreats, treatments, food, or simply the philosophy behind it all, I hope this inspires you to explore a gentler style of travel.

3 Things I’m Loving This Week
- Quiet mornings with an espresso and my travel planning notebooks
- Reading a book, yes, a physical book instead of online. I am currently reading Maggie O'Farrell's Portrait of a Marriage based in Florence and Ferrara in the 16th Century
- Soaking up the sights and sounds of Ravenna
Travel Tip of the Week
If you’re visiting wellness retreats or cultural destinations, try not to over-plan every day. Some of the best travel moments happen when you leave space for rest, wandering, and unexpected conversations.
